Missouri hotel and motel leads
Missouri requires a state lodging licence for any place offering five or more guest rooms, and the health department publishes the list. We hold 1,468 establishments, and almost all of them, 1,453, come with a phone number. Branson alone accounts for 155 of them.
Counts refreshed 2026-11-03. Issuing agency: Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

How Missouri licenses lodging
Chapter 315 of the Missouri statutes (sections 315.005 to 315.065) makes the licence compulsory, and the sanitation rule is 19 CSR 20-3.050. An establishment needs an approved inspection report before it can apply, and it does this every year.
The five-room floor is the useful part for a seller. It means this list starts above the home-share level, and every name on it has already sat through a health inspection.

What the Missouri file leaves out
The state publishes the property's name, address and phone but no owner and no email. So the record tells you what the place is called and how to ring its front desk, not who owns it.
The health department's list has barely moved since we first copied it: no additions since 2026-10-13. Buy it for coverage of what already operates.

Working the Missouri list
Branson and the lake country
Tourist towns dominate the top of the file, so the state works well for anyone selling on drive-time routes through the Ozarks.
The front desk phone
With no owner name published, expect to reach a desk clerk first. Ask for the general manager, and leave the owner research to the county assessor.
Missouri questions
Why are there no owner names?
The DHSS list names the establishment, not its owner. County assessor records are the next place to look.
Are short-stay homes included?
Only if they have five or more guest rooms. The licence floor keeps most single houses out.
