About Lead Mining Company

Lead Mining Company is a U.S. data company. We turn public records into lists businesses can work: short-term rental permit records first, and custom B2B lists and lead-generation software for everything else.

What we make

  • PermitPulse™: 275,665 short-term rental (Airbnb and vacation rental) permit and license records from 76 city, county and state registers in 26 states. 111,698 include a phone or email that the register published. Sold by state or nationally, by subscription or as a one-time download (pricing).
  • B2B lists: lists of businesses in a given industry and area, mined to order from public directories and the open web.
  • Custom lead-generation software: scrapers, public-records pipelines and lead databases built for one company, from $1,500. The client keeps the code.

Where the data comes from

PermitPulse is built from records that governments publish: permit registers, license files and tax rolls. Software collects each register on a schedule, keeps the first full copy as a baseline and marks every later row as new, so buyers can pull only the permits filed since their last download. Every count on this site is read from that database when the site is built, last on 2026-10-08.

We do not collect data from Airbnb, Vrbo or other booking sites, and we do not collect anything that sits behind a login or a paywall. Layers that turn out not to be permits, such as zoning maps or parcel lists, are taken out of the data and out of the counts.

Research

Because the database covers so many registers, it can answer questions no single city can: how many short-term rentals are on public registers, how fast new permits are being filed, and who holds them. We publish those counts as free studies with CSV downloads, licensed for reuse with credit.

How the data may be used

Each subscription or download is licensed to the buyer's own business and may not be resold. Many permit phone numbers are personal cell phones, so buyers must follow the TCPA, Do Not Call rules and state telemarketing laws, and must never present themselves as the city or permit office. The full rules are in the terms and license and the guide to contacting owners legally.

Corrections

Registers contain errors, and so can we. If a record or a number on this site is wrong, email info@leadminingcompany.com with the page or record and we will check it against the source register.
