Reading a city file
Each city page opens with the record count, the share that carries a phone or email, and the register it comes from. Below that are the ZIP codes, the permit or license types, the years on the permits where the register dates them, and how the city compares with its state and market.
Phone-ready cities come from registers that publish contact details: Florida's DBPR license file, Wisconsin's DATCP license file and several city registers. Address-level cities, most of them in Texas, carry the name on the permit and the property address, which suits mail and skip-tracing.

Cities that are a market in their own right, plus multi-town markets, have a market page. City pages inside a market link back to it.
How a city gets a page
A full city page needs at least 100 records and 50 with a phone or email. A city whose register publishes no contact details needs 300 records. Each page also needs at least two real breakdowns (ZIP codes, years, permit types or status), so a bare count never gets a page.
Spelling variants are merged, rows with a ZIP code in another state are dropped, and sources whose city column is the owner's home town are left out. 72 candidate cities did not make the cut and stay in their state files.
Common questions
Which cities have the most short-term rental permits in PermitPulse?
Kissimmee, FL (2,788), Davenport, FL (2,397), Houston, TX (2,034), Miami, FL (1,792), San Antonio, TX (1,779). Counts as of 2026-10-08; cities that are covered by a market page, such as Nashville and New Orleans, are counted there instead.
Why doesn't my city have its own page?
A city gets a page when its cleaned file holds at least 100 records with 50 or more phones or emails, or at least 300 records if the register publishes no contact details. Smaller cities are still in the state file and can be filtered at export.
How are the city files built?
From the city column of public short-term-rental registers. Spelling variants are merged, rows whose ZIP code sits in another state are dropped, and sources whose city column holds the owner's home town are left out.
